Experiences in our own backyard

We know staying entertained at home isn’t easy but with a backyard like ours, we are so thankful for living in our little secluded slice of heaven.

Tourism Estevan has put together ways to explore Estevan with all the current restrictions in mind!

1.Walking Trails

We have access to some really great walking trails right out your front door. Churchill Park has an awesome pathway that has beautiful views of the valley and even has some hills to get in a good workout.  Pleasantdale Valley walking path is a nice hidden gem to hit up when planning a walk throughout the northwest area of the city. Kensington Greens has a long stretch of path system that users can jump on or off in the northeast area of the city. Woodlawn Avenue Path in the Southeast area of the city is a great connector to hope on to get to the trails at Woodlawn Regional Park.

2. Golfing
Golfing is a sport that the Government of Saskatchewan has in Phase One of the Re-open Saskatchewan Plan. Our local courses can open May 15h! We have a few local gems in our backyard.  Hidden Valley Golf & RV Resort has a perfect 9 hole course nestled along the Souris River. You can book a tee time by calling 306-634-7744. Payment can be made over the phone or in person. They have specials throughout the week like 2 FORE 1 Tuesdays and Twighlight Thursdays. TS&M Woodlawn Golf Course is a challenging 18 hole course with stunning views. To book Tee Times and for more information please call 306-634-2017.  Food and Beverage will be available for curbside takeout.  Mainprize Golf Course this 18 hole course has large greens and generous fairways. Book a tee time online.

3. Camping
Camping is listed as another great activity we can do in the Re-open Saskatchewan Plan. Starting June 1st, campers can enjoy the outdoors. There are a few local campgrounds that have beautiful green spaces for you to enjoy. Woodlawn Regional Park has two sites to choose from; camp along the Souris River or at Boundary Dam Reservoir.  Seasonal sites or nightlight sites are available to book online. Hidden Valley Golf & RV Resort has large campsites nestled along the Souris River. Call 306-634-7744 to reserve.
