Recreational Funding

The City of Estevan helps facilitate two funding opportunities; KidSport and Sask Lotteries Community Grant. KidSport is evaluated through their organizations and for personal funding opportunities. The Sask Lotteries Community Grant is evaluated through Leisure Services Division and then approved by the City of Estevan Council and are allocated to organizations.

KidSport
Sask Lotteries Community Grant

KidSport is a national not-for-profit organization that provides financial assistance for registration fees and equipment to kids aged 18 and under.

Through a confidential application process they provide grants so they can play a season of sport.

They believe that no kid should be left on the sidelines and all should be given the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sports. KidSport provides support to children in order to remove financial barriers that prevent them from playing organized sport.

Application Form

The purpose of the Saskatchewan Lotteries Community Grant Program is to provide funds to volunteer organizations whose sole purpose is to provide programs and services in sport, culture and recreation programs and activities.

Funds are provided through local authorities throughout the province to assist them to maintain, improve and expand opportunities for people of all ages to derive the benefits from involvement in sport, culture and recreations programs and activities.

For this reason only those expenditures that can be directly related to the provision of programs and services will qualify for grant assistance.
