The best lunch date

Today was a great day to take my youngest girl, “C” out for lunch.

We haven’t had a whole lot of time to spend with each other this summer. The tornado takes up a lot of my time. When she went to bed last night I asked her to go for lunch with me, and to my surprise she said yes! (She still likes me even though the start of the teen years are fast approaching 😉)

She got to pick where we were going to dine and chose Eddies Neighbourhood Grill & Bar. I have always loved going to Eddies. They have a great menu that is always changing. I hadn’t been there in awhile so I was looking forward to trying something new.

We arrived at the start of the lunch hour to a friendly person that guided us to a booth seat. It was pretty private and C and I had a great visit. We talked about what we were each going to order. (we like ordering something that both of us like so we can try each others meal) Once we had our game plan on we told jokes until the server came.

She ordered the Messy Fries which included cheese, gravy, lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream, and onion, but C asked for no onion. I ordered Chicken and Waffles. A Belgian waffle, fried chicken, blueberry chipotle compote and maple cream.

Messy Fries and Chicken and Waffles

I have to say, we chose well. The waffles were delicious and the $12.00 price tag was even better. C loved her messy fries, but I think she was secretly eyeing my waffles after she had a bite. I shared more of my waffles with her and she seemed pretty tickled that I gave up the deliciousness to her. I wouldn’t do that for just anyone! 😊

The price was perfect for our two meals and the company was even better. We will be coming back to Eddies!

Get out there and #ExperienceEstevan
