Naming City of Estevan

Naming a street, park or other civic property in the City of Estevan needs approval by City Council. New names are frequently submitted for consideration by developers, civic departments and citizens.

To make sure that names are suitably assigned, the City of Estevan Council undergoes a process to approve name submissions.

• Individuals or families who through their achievements have brought recognition to the City of Estevan.
• Veterans and those who have fought for our country.
• A person who volunteers and or gives extraordinary help to individuals, families or groups, or supports community services or humanitarian causes.
• Historical names celebrating a relevant historic event, landmark or figure.
