Largemouth Bass Fishing

Boundary Dam Reservoir is the go-to lake for Largemouth bass in Saskatchewan. In fact, its the only place to go.

Due to the nearby power plant, the water is much warmer that makes it a possibility for the largemouth to thrive. In fact, the lake, in some parts, never freezes.

Summer is the best time of year to fish bass, however anglers may ice fish for them as well.

Largemouth tend to enjoy weedy areas and even like to make their homes near the residential cabins, hiding in dock areas. They are most active at dusk and dawn.

We recommend using leeches or worms. Top water bait works great and can be the best way to catch a bass with their aggressive leaps.

The Boundary Bass Classic fishing tournament is held in June of every year.

There are several access points to Boundary Dam but the best would be the loading docks at Woodlawn Regional Park. The park has plenty of parking and amenities such as a cleaning shack and bay to wash off your boat.
