Fall Operation Clean Sweep Dates Announced

For Immediate Release – September 12, 2022

Residents from the City of Estevan can drop off their extra trash and bulky items free of charge the October 14th to 16th weekend. The City of Estevan landfill will be open for free drop-off  8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Residents can bring residential waste, yard waste, construction and demolition debris. Waste from Commercial and RM customers will not be accepted for free.

Visitors to the landfill should be ready with valid identification—driver’s license or an alternative form of government-issued ID—to show proof of residency to the cashier.

All loads are subject to inspection and must be tarped in accordance with Bylaw 96-1489 11.(2), which states all loads must be completely covered or secured to prevent littering while in transport to the landfill.

Commercial vehicles are subject to applicable rates.

Electronic waste, household hazardous waste, freon appliances and mattresses will not be accepted.  For a list of nonacceptable items and information where these items can be disposed of appropriately, visit http://estevan.ca/householdhazardouswaste/
