Estevan, SK., June 17, 2022 – Summer is just around the corner and the City of Estevan Leisure Services
department are excited to reveal this year’s Playpark schedule!
This summer’s schedule includes many fun themes like Deep Sea Diving, Disney Magic and Need for
Speed just to name a few.
Regular programming will start on July 4 and run through August 25, Monday to Friday. This year’s
schedule again includes Saturday swims that cycle between the paddling pool locations and special Slip
and Slide events at Royal Heights Park. This year’s schedule will have crafting, activities and games from
10:30am-12pm and Swimming from 1pm-5pm.
This year, the playparks staff is proud to welcome to addition of Hands-on History days with Souris
Valley Museum! Children can join playleaders and the Souris Valley Museum in a morning of learning
and fun. This programming will run during the usual 10:30am-12pm time.
The Churchill Park playpark program and paddling pool is scheduled to run this season, with a grand re-opening in July, but more information will be posted on Facebook, Instagram and the City’s website July 1st with an update on the pool’s reconstruction.
Tasia Trobert (Hillcrest), Katie Milbrandt (Churchill), Katryna Heleta (Hillside) and Nyla Dyck (Rusty Duce)
will be the playpark leaders at the parks. Participants may see other members from the aquatics team
on occasion at each park to help accommodate shifts.
