Water and Sewer Flushing Program
As part of regular maintenance, water main flushing and sanitary sewer work is done throughout the city. You may notice crews at fire hydrants flushing water down the street or trucks at manholes during the summer.
CITY OF ESTEVAN – 2026 WATERMAIN FLUSHING SCHEDULE
The City of Estevan will be flushing watermains to ensure good water quality for all users of city water. This work includes the turning of main water valves around the city and flushing large quantities of water from various hydrants in each area. During this process you may notice a substantial drop in pressure, this will be brief. As well, discoloured water is possible during the days, please run a faucet (bathtub is best), for a few minutes until the water is clear again. This year we will be flow testing all fire hydrants to update our data; therefore the schedule will be longer than usual. The scheduled for this work (see schedule below), this information will also be on our Voyent App.
Please contact City Hall at 634-1800 if issues persist. Thank you for your understanding during this important maintenance!
