Quality of life
is very important to the community of Estevan. There are
many activities and facilities that people can enjoy. Organizations
and clubs help to maintain our quality of life by contributing
much of their time to the recreational sports, arts programs,
and churches within the community. So to improve your quality

The Arts...
There is an excellent art
gallary and museum in Estevan. There are many different
exhibits that people can enjoy throughout the year.
During the summer the Souris Valley Museum is open featuring
displays from the pioneering days and heritage mining equipment.
The Souris Valley Theatre also performs two different productions
every summer for the public to enjoy.

Recreation...
The Souris Valley Aquatic
Leisure Center supplies people with the facility to become
active in many types of recreation. There is a rink where
anyone can play hockey or skate in the winter and in the
summer it is available to rent for other events. A squash
court, weight room, and gym satisfy others who like to stay
active. People may also host community events here. The
olympic size pool which includes a waterslide, hot tub,
steam room, and diving board is one of the most popular
places in the Leisure Center. Swimming lessons, water polo,
water fitness classes, and swimming competitions take place
throughout the year.
The Estevan Civic Auditorium
is home to the Estevan Bruins but is used by other hockey
teams and the figure skating club.
Then there is the curling
rink for all those curlers out there. Different events are
held there during the off season.
There are two large bodies
of water near Estevan, Boundary and Raferty Dam. This is
where people can boat, swim and fish. It will take care
of all their water needs.
For those who love to camp,
there are two campsites near Estevan. Woodlawn Regional
Park and Hidden Valley Park. Woodlawn has a provincial reputation
for having a quality 18 hole golf course.
For the kid in you, Hidden
Valley has a mini golf course, par 3 course, and go-karts.

Baseball is one of the popular
sports here in Estevan for all ages. There are many places
where you can enjoy playing softball, fastball, slow pitch
and T-ball. The places where you can enjoy playing baseball
are Luscar Cactus Park, Lynn Prime Memorial Park, Pleasantdale
Ball Park, Prairie Cactus, Met Stadium, Cossette Park and
any School Diamonds. The community put in a lot of effort
and volunteer work so that our diamonds were in good shape.
This is an excellent sport to watch in the summer.
Soccer is another one of those popular sports that are offered
in Estevan. People of all ages enjoy playing this exillerating
sport that envolves a lot of energy. The Estevan Youth and
Mini Soccer Association sets up house soccer for all ages
during the summer. Some of the fields you can play on would
be the Comprehensive Soccer Fields and the Dana Quewezance
Memorial field down at Woodlawn. This is an excellent sport
to watch in the summmer as well.
Hunting is another way people
like to spend their time. There are many places a person
can go hunting. The Estevan Archery Club has a range near
highway #47 and a 3-D range near Boundary Dam. There is
also a rifle range by the Boundary Dam boat launch.
