Low numbers of Culex tarsalis mosquitoes are being detected in southern Saskatchewan. No infected West Nile virus positive mosquitoes have been found, to date, in 2018.

To address climate change, Canada and other countries have put forward commitments to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases and transition to a low-carbon economy. One of the measures the Government of Canada is implementing to reduce pollution is the phasing out of coal-fired electricity generation by 2030.

The City of Estevan would like to invite residents and visitors to a True North Canada Day Celebration held on June 29th from 3pm until midnight at the Centennial Park and surrounding grounds. There will be children’s entertainment, games, live band and a beer garden. There are no admission fees.
Water Shut off Notice – Maple Bay area
The City of Estevan would like to advise residents and motorists of the west leg of Maple Bay that it will be closed with no through traffic on Wednesday, May 22nd due to a hydrant replacement. This closure includes the south sidewalk for pedestrians. Please avoid this area until the construction work has been completed.

The intersection of Wellock Road and Sister Roddy Road will have lane access restrictions today, May 11th due to lift station maintenance. Motorists, use caution when travelling in all construction zones.
