Construction continues on the 1200 Block of Nicholson Road today with no through traffic as well as the north sidewalk is closed until the construction has been completed.

The King Street construction project detour route includes a new controlled intersection at Dufferin Avenue and George Street. North and South bound traffic is required to stop at this intersection for the duration of the project.  As well, there is a new 4 way stop at the intersection of Henry Street and Dufferin Avenue as well as Henry Street and Banantyne Avenue.

Please be aware the Henry Street detour route speed limit has been reduced to 30km/hr.

Removing barricades in construction zones is extremely dangerous and constitutes an offence under the Criminal Code as well as the Traffic Safety Act. EPS members will be monitoring the area as well as conducting the enforcement .Anyone caught driving through or moving the barricades, could face serious charges.

For the duration of this construction project, the public is being requested to avoid this area and find an alternate route. It is important for motorists to allow for additional time when travelling for the duration of this project.
