The Council of the City of Estevan, pursuant to Section 207 of The Planning and Development Act, 2007, gives notice of its intention to consider an amendment to Zoning Bylaw #2022-2061. The purpose of the proposed amendment is to facilitate the development of higher density residential buildings on the westernmost seven (7) properties fronting the north side of Wellock Road and east of Sister Roddy Road.
The primary purpose of the proposed amendment is to rezone the subject property from R1- Residential Single Detached District to R4 – High Density Residential District. The proposed buildings to be developed on the properties are 12-unit residential buildings. Note that the land subject to re-zoning under this application has been reduced from the original proposal. The applicant has also requested Council consideration of a building height limit of 11 metres (same as the existing R1 Zoning District) and a front yard setback for principal buildings of 5.0 metres.
