Notice of Public Hearing: Bylaw 2025-2098

The Council of the City of Estevan, pursuant to Section 207 of the Planning and Development Act, 2007, gives notice of its intention to consider an amendment to Zoning Bylaw #2022-2061. The purpose of the proposed amendment is to facilitate the development of residential buildings on the properties fronting the south side of Wellock Road between Hawkes Bay and Sister Roddy Road through a proposed amendment to the governing architectural guidelines applicable to the area.

The primary purpose of the proposed amendment is to provide the City of Estevan with the option to consider approval of a moved-in-dwelling within the subject properties on a discretionary basis.  This amendment would change a prohibition on moved-in-dwellings to a discretionary use.  As a discretionary use, future proposals would require written notification to nearby landowners prior to Council deciding the application.  All other requirements of the architectural guidelines would still be applicable.

The proposed amendment would not alter in any way the current architectural requirements within the Hawkes Bay cul-de-sac.

Prior to further consideration of this Bylaw, a public hearing will be held:
