Due to ongoing wet weather conditions, the City of Estevan is rescheduling its annual Operation Clean Sweep initiative to the week of May 27 through June 1, 2025. The excessive rainfall has made it challenging to carry out cleanup activities safely and effectively, prompting the decision to delay. We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we wait for drier conditions to ensure a successful and thorough city-wide cleanup and safe usage of the municipal landfill.
The updated schedule will see City crews targeting key areas throughout the week, including entrances to the city, public green spaces, and residential neighborhoods. Yard waste pickup will now occur on Thursday, May 29 in the North, and Friday, May 30 in the South, with Free Landfill Weekend running Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1. Residents are reminded to bundle and bag their organic waste properly and have it placed on their driveway by 8:00 a.m. on their respective collection day.
