Estevan Economic Development Announces New Appointment

Estevan, SK — The Estevan Economic Development Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Rebecca Foord as its new Community Development Officer. The Community Development Officer role will work to foster local growth by coordinating initiatives that improve infrastructure, housing, and community services while also driving economic opportunities such as industry development, job creation and small business support.

Born and raised in the Estevan area, Rebecca brings a wealth of local knowledge, leadership experience, and a deep commitment to the city’s growth and prosperity. As a former city councillor, Rebecca is no stranger to the challenges and opportunities that shape the community, while her extensive volunteer experience with not-for-profit organizations and community groups has provided her a rounded view on Estevan’s wide-spanning socio-economic needs. “I’m excited to have the privilege and opportunity to contribute to the city’s growth and economic development in this new role. I look forward to working alongside our community leaders, businesses and stakeholders to create long lasting opportunities for Estevan’s future, ” says Foord.

Estevan Economic Development actively operates out of the Southeast Innovation Business Development Centre, located at 403a 9th Avenue in Estevan, and can be found online at estevaneconomicdevelopment.ca.
