Starting late Thursday, May 11th into Saturday, May 13th Southeast Saskatchewan is expecting heavy rain with winds, with the largest rainfall occurring on Friday, May 12th during the day.
The City of Estevan and its roads crews are prepared for the incoming weather event in order to accommodate the community and have emergency plans in place should they be required. The city would like to advise citizens to ensure that their sump pumps are working and eavestroughs are cleared and facing away from their houses in order to reduce chance of moisture and flooding in and around their homes.
The City of Estevan would like to encourage the community to stay safe throughout the course of this weather event and avoid travel unless necessary in order to ensure emergency services have access to the roadways. It is advised at this time that homes have 72-hours of emergency supplies.
