Time to Grab a slice with the first-ever PizzaMonth

Tourism Estevan is at it again, building on its culinary experiences with the addition of a new program, Culinary Months.  Four times throughout the year, restaurants in the community will be competing for three different claims.

 

The first event PizzaMonth runs all of February, bringing innovative and traditional pizzas to many local restaurants and eateries. 8 unique pizzas, 28 days to try them all; we see you smacking your lips.

Rebecca Westling, Destination Marketing and Communications Consultant for the City of Estevan, explains, “Culinary Tourism is about the unique, authentic experience of restaurants in our city. We have amazing chefs that create items we all love; now is the time to try something new and show these restaurants our support.”

 

The program will kick off on February 1st. Participants will purchase a $15.00 featured item from participating restaurants where they will be given a ballot code to vote for their favourite. There are three categories to choose from, ‘Best Crust,’ ‘Best Overall’ and ‘Most Unique.’

 

At months end, one random voter will be chosen to win a $500 gift certificate to Shop Estevan, and the three winning restaurants in each category will win 200 dollars to donate to their charity of choice!

  • Humpty’s Family Restaurant
  • Michael’s Coffee Shop & Bakery
  • Pinocchio Pizza
  • Red Swan Pizza
  • The Black Grasshopper
  • Tower Café
