Estevan, SK – On October 6th, we received notice from the Saskatchewan Health Authority that individuals who tested COVID-19 positive were at the Estevan Leisure Centre on September 29th and October 1st, 6:20 to 6:50 p.m.
Sask Health Authority rates the risk level as a low risk of transmission. Still, they will continue to advise of any risk changes, and the City of Estevan Leisure Centre will follow their direction.
The Heath Authority advises individuals who were at this location on the specified dates during the specified times to self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days. If exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms, individuals should immediately self-isolate and call HealthLine 811 to arrange for testing.
It is important to note that individuals may develop symptoms from two to 14 days following exposure to the virus that causes COVID-19.
It is unknown where this individual visited while inside the facility, so we advise all persons who visited the 701 Souris Avenue community centre to self-monitor.
