The City of Estevan will be hosting the fall “Operation Clean Sweep” on Friday, October 18th through Sunday, October 20th, 2019.
You can bring your household waste to the City of Estevan landfill for free during the Fall Operation Clean Sweep. At all other times landfill fees will apply. Landfill hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8 am until 5 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10 am until 4 pm.
Commercial properties are not included in the free landfill weekend; we encourage all commercial properties to participate in the clean sweep effort.
You must be a resident of Estevan and proof of residency will be required. (driver’s license, etc. with an Estevan address)
Items that can be dropped off for free include; furniture, grass clippings, tree branches and regular household garbage including appliances. (excluding all refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and mattresses/box springs)
All hazardous materials are not accepted, and any waste from rural customers will not be accepted for free. Hazardous materials including Tires, Paint (cans or aerosol), Batteries, TV’s, Computers, Printers, Oil, Oil jugs, Oil filters, any petroleum products and Railway ties are never accepted at the City of Estevan Landfill.
Please note: According to Bylaw 96-1489 11.(2) all loads must be completely covered or secured to prevent littering while in transport to the landfill.
